My Design Process

initial consult

This is your chance unload everything that has been weighing on your mind and stressing you out as you embark on the journey of building your home!

We can review floor plans, layouts and exteriors options. You can ask your questions, show me magazines clippings and/or Pinterest boards!

3d house planning

We will work through floor plans, layouts and everything that has permanent “footprint” in your house, to get it just right, from the inside, out.

I will draft your home in 3-D so you'll be able to see every room in detail, including all your windows, doors, cabinetry, built-in details and lighting placement. and other built-in details.

We can easily make changes with the click of a button, seeing options in real time.

Material + finish selection

Once you finalize your floor plan, I'll guide you through selecting cohesive finishes, materials and details to create a design plan that will flow throughout your home.

We will work through flooring, paint colors, cabinetry design + finishes, countertop, tile, door styles, lighting, plumbing fixtures and much more!

FAQs

+ Do you draft construction drawings/documents?

No. I draft house plans from your dimensions as a visual tool for you. I am happy to work through floor plan options to create something custom for you, however I leave the construction documents to the professionals.

+ Are you able to give 3D visuals of the exterior, as well as the interior?

Yes! My 3D renderings assist you in visualizing the interior, as well as the exterior of your home, inlcuding roof lines + pitches, window + door styles and placement etc.

+ How do you charge for your services?

I charge a flat rate for any initial consultation based on your location and hourly for my design services.

+ Why do I need your services in addition to my contractor and/or architect?

Contractors really don't care what color scheme you choose or materials you select, just as long as you make decisions, within your allowances, so they can keep moving. I provide guidance and assistance through the decision making process of the interior, as well as the exterior so can have a beautiful, cohesive home you love!

+ How early should I begin planning?

As soon as you have your house plans, we can begin! We'll work through the layout and size of space to make sure we have it just right for your family!
